2024 Miss Chinese Toronto Pageant
1. 生活保持動力的方法？
我透過和那些能激勵我、在我取得任何成就時都會為我感到高興的人在一起，來保持日常生活中的動力。我受到我的父母的啟發，他們一直教導我要有紀律和謙卑。我相信，保持紀律和謙遜將是我在生活中保持動力的關鍵因素，還有那些關心我的人。
2. 如果有機會成立一個慈善機構，你會關注甚麼議題？
從小我就樂意幫助那些比我不幸的人，特別是無家可歸者。我相信每個人都應該有無限的機會來改變自己的人生。特別是因為我住在市中心，看到這些人使我對他們產生了極大的同情。我總是盡力回饋他們，因為看到他們的生活狀況和麵臨的心理健康問題，讓我覺得自己很幸運、珍惜我所擁有的一切。
3. 有甚麼華裔文化傳統是你特別珍視的？為甚麼？
我特別珍惜在中國新年吃餃子這個傳統，因為這是我們家常做的事情，不只是在中國新年。它讓我感到與家人非常親近，並為大家創造了一個有趣和快樂的團聚體驗，因為我有一個大家庭。
4. 10 歲時的你對參選華姐有甚麼想法？
10歲時的我很喜歡皇冠、公主和閃亮的東西。我小時候看過《環球小姐》節目，一直希望有一天能參加選美比賽。現在的我會讓10歲的自己感到非常驕傲和快樂，因為這是她一直以來的夢想。直到今天，我仍然對閃亮的裙子、皇冠和所有女孩氣的東西充滿熱情。
5. 你最期待每天生活中的哪一部分？
我目前住在大學宿舍，每天我都期待認識新的朋友，我非常喜歡與人聊天，因為人們雖然相似，卻又各有不同。結交新朋友，學習新事物，讓我感到非常開心。
1. How do you stay motivated and inspired in your daily life?
l stays motivated in my daily life by surrounding myself with people who uplift me and are always happy for me when I achieve anything, I stay inspired because of my parents who have always taught me to be disciplined and humble. I believe that staying disciplined and humble will be key factors to keep me motivated through anything in my life, along with people who care about me.
2. If you had the opportunity to establish a charitable organization, what issue would you focus on?
Since I was a little girl, I've always had a passion for helping people that are less fortunate than me, specifically homeless people. I believe everyone should have unlimited chances to tear their life around and seeing these people everywhere I go, especially because l live in downtown, makes me have lots of empathy for them, I always try and give back to them because seeing their living situation and undergoing mental health issues makes me feel very lucky to have the basic necessities in life.
3. What Chinese cultural traditions do you particularly cherish? why?
Having dumplings for Chinese New Year is something I cherish a lot because it's something my family does very often, not only on Chinese New Year. It makes me feel very close with my family and creates a fun and happy bonding experience for everyone since I have a big family.
4. What would your 10-year-old self think about you participating in the Miss Chinese Toronto Pageant?
My 10-year-old self was the biggest fan of princesses, crowns, and everything sparkly. I always used to watch Miss Universe as a little girl and always hoped to be part of a pageant one day. My 10-year-old self would be proud and happy of me right now since this was a lifelong dream of her. Till this day, I have an obsession with sparkly dresses, crowns, and everything girly.
5. What part of your daily life do you look forward to the most?
Since I'm living in residence at the moment, every day, I look forward to connecting and meeting with new people. I really enjoy making conversation and getting to know anyone new because we're all so similar yet so different. I try to make new friends every day and I'm able to learn new things about them as the days go by which makes me feel very happy.
6. 哪些活動 (例如：聽歌、閱 讀) 能讓你平靜下來？
戶外活動、去健身房和聽音樂是我無法離開的三件事。 Frank Ocean 是我目前最喜歡的音樂人之一，他的音樂幫助我減輕了很多壓力，並在我狀態不佳時給了我很大的幫助。 Cigarettes After Sex 和 Lana Del Rey 也是我很喜歡的兩位音樂人。我堅持去健身房大約兩年了，健身是我人生中最好的決定之一，它讓我的身心靈很受益，享受自律和堅持的成果，並改掉了一些壞習慣。
7. 你認為自己是「E人」 (外向的人) 還是「I人」 (內向的人)？請舉一例子。
我是個典型的外向型人，與人交談是我的專長，而尷尬是我最大的敵人。我喜歡結交新朋友，尤其現在我住在宿舍，我每天都會去飯堂，坐到那些獨自用餐的人旁邊，試著與他們交談。我透過這種方式已經建立了很多友誼，這讓我很高興，因為他們不必孤單地吃飯。
8. 如果你有機會和歷史人物對話，你會選擇誰？會問他/她甚麼問題？
如果有機會與歷史人物對話，我會選擇達文西，因為我對他如何在保持積極態度、廣泛的學科涉獵和具有創造性思維的同時平衡藝術、科學、解剖學和工程學感到非常著迷。我會問他：“你是如何對繪畫、解剖學、工程學和發明等如此不同的領域產生興趣的？你又是如何在這些領域中不斷推進的？”
9. 如果您生活在一部迪士尼電影中，您會選擇哪一部？
我會選擇生活在《冰雪奇緣》裏，因為艾莎曾經是，現在仍然是我最喜歡的迪士尼公主之一。我小時候非常喜歡她的冰雪城堡，總是想體驗她的生活方式。她和她的妹妹安娜讓我想起了我的妹妹，我們非常喜歡一起看這部電影並且重現其中的場景，就像艾莎和安娜是姐妹一樣。
10. 如果你是一件藝術品，你認為你會以甚麼形式或風格呈現？
我覺得普普藝術 (Pop Art) 最能形容我，因為我覺得普普藝術在各種藝術風格中脫穎而出。它有很多鮮豔的色彩，展現了激情、活力和個性。我覺得自己是一個充滿熱情的人，特別是在我有同理心的事情上。我也是一個非常有活力的人，喜歡把這種活力傳遞給其他人，這就是我選擇普普藝術的原因。
6. What activities, such as listening to music or reading, help you feel calm and relaxed?
Being outdoors, going to the gym, and listening to music are three things I cannot live without. Frank Ocean is currently one of my favourite artists and his music helps me relieve lots of stress and helped me in lots of situations where I was not feeling my best. Cigarettes after sex as well as Lana Del Raw are two other artists I can’t live without. I've been going to the gym for around two years now, and I can’t emphasize this enough. Starting the gym was one of the best decisions in my life. It's helped me feel so much better about myself, not just physically, but mentally as well. It taught me discipline, the outcome of hard work, and has distracted me from bad habits life had throughout the process.
7. Do you consider yourself an extrovert or introvert? Please provide an example.
I consider myself the biggest extrovert out there. Talking to people is my specialty and awkwardness is my biggest enemy, I love making new friends, especially now that I'm living in residence. I go to the dining hall every day and just sit with people I see sitting alone and try and get to them. I've already made lots of friendships by doing this and it makes me feel good that they don’t have to eat alone.
8. If you had the opportunity to have a conversation with a historical figure, who would you choose?
If I had the opportunity to have a conversation with a historical figure I would choose Leonardo da Vina because I'm fascinated by how he balanced art, science, anatomy, and engineering while maintain a positive attitude, wide range of discipline, and having such acrtative mindset. The question I'd ask him would be "How were you able to find an interest in such different things -painting, anatomy, engineering, and invention-and how did you have the ability to push forward in all these fields?”
9. If you could live in a Disney movie, which one would you choose?
I would choose to be in Frozen because Elsa was and still is one of my favourite Disney princess characters. I was in love with her ice castle as a little girl and always wanted to experience her lifestyle. She and her sister Ana reminded me a lot of my sister, and we absolutely loved watching and reenacting the movie together just like how Elsa and Ana were sisters.
10. If you were a piece of art, what form or style do you think you would take? Why?
I feel like pop art best describes me because I see pop art standing from other art styles. It has lots of vibrant colours which define passion, energy, and personality enhancement. I see myself as a passionate person when it comes to things I have empathy for. I am also a very energetic person and love to bring that energy out of other people which is why I chose pop art.
